Abita Springs, LA – The Abita Brewing Company is pleased to announce their new partnership with the French Quarter Festival as the official beer sponsor. “We are excited to be a part of this world-class music and entertainment festival,” said David Blossman, President of the Abita Brewing Company. “It is only fitting that New Orleans’ favorite beer sponsors and supports this showcase for New Orleans’ unique cultural heritage,” continued Blossman. “We’re glad to do our part to help keep the French Quarter Festival the largest free music festival in the South.”

The Abita Brewing Company was founded in Abita Springs, Louisiana in 1986 and is the oldest and largest craft brewer in the southeast. Abita is the 32nd largest commercial brewer by production volume in the nation and the 16th largest craft brewer in the United States. Sales for the company should exceed 82,000 barrels and $16 million this year.

The 25th Anniversary edition of this annual festival will take place the weekend of April 11-13, 2008. A favorite of locals and tourists alike, the French Quarter Festival attracts approximately 400,000 fans and generates an economic impact of more than $100 million for the city of New Orleans.
