LONGMONT — Ten months of planning and sweat culminate today in the opening of Oskar Blues Home Made Liquids & Solids, the company’s new Longmont restaurant.
Owner Dale Katechis said he and co-owner Anita Gray, who’s been with Oskar Blues’ Lyons restaurant for five years and will manage the Longmont location, put $800,000 into refurbishing the former Silo Restaurant & Sports Bar, which closed in 2006.
Nine of the
bar’s 43 beer taps will hold Oskar Blues brews; the rest will be
devoted to other craft brewers, including Longmont’s own Left Hand
Brewing Co. and Avery in Boulder. Guest beers include Moose Drool from
Big Sky Brewing in Montana, Dogfish Head from Delaware and Abita from
Abita Springs, La.
